LeeAnne Jordan Webb, 64 passed from this life Thursday, February 7, 2013, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. LeeAnne was born October 18, 1948 to Wallace T. and Jean Taylor Jordan in Snyder, Texas.
LeeAnne attended school in Abilene Texas, graduating from Abilene High in 1967. While in school, LeeAnne ran for the Texas Track Club, traveling to Mexico City, Ohio, California and all over the state of Texas. Her track team ran exhibition races at the Texas Relays before women's track was a recognized sport. LeeAnne's track career culminated with her competing in the 1964 Olympic Trials in Los Angeles. Upon her graduation from high school, LeeAnne left Abilene to attend San Angelo College. LeeAnne made many friends while in college, many of whom became her lifelong friends. After leaving college, LeeAnne worked for WTU in Abilene, she worked in retail in Houston, finally returning to San Angelo to start the rest of her life.
LeeAnne didn't stop breaking gender barriers with her track career, in 1982 she started hanging wallpaper professionally as Paper Dolls. For the next 20 years, LeeAnne helped people make houses their homes with her talent as a paper hanger and decorator. LeeAnne expertly navigated working full time while raising her family and attending every sporting event in which they participated. She was a full time mother to her three children and led by example the extent of her commitment, dedication and perfectionist ideals.
On November 19, 1999, LeeAnne married the love of her life, Danny Webb. Danny and LeeAnne combined their six children to create their blended family, and LeeAnne loved Danny's children as she did her own. In 2002, LeeAnne went to work full time at Sherwin-Williams as a product specialist on decorative products. LeeAnne was an expert at finding the perfect color or wallpaper for creating warmth in homes all over San Angelo and surrounding cities. She was a legend in her field, and will be deeply missed.
LeeAnne is survived by her parents, Wally and Jean Jordan, her husband, Danny Webb, her two daughters, Stacie McWilliams and Bart, Stephanie Martin and Dax, and her son Michael Cole and Kyla. She is also survived by her three step sons, Scott Webb and Ann, Shea Webb and Shannon and Ryan Webb and Megan. Also surviving LeeAnne are her grandchildren, Cole Henry McWilliams, Ty and Sydney Martin, Katelyn and Kylie Webb, Kami Paxton and twins, Jayden and Luke Webb, due on February 19.
The family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Coates, Dr. Vayden Stanley, the department of Shannon Oncology, the staff of Odyssey Hospice and Megan Vick, RN. for their compassionate care and
unending support.
Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday January 10, at First Christian Church with Rev. Ben Hubert officiating.
