Linda G. Cardenas

She was born on April 5, 1940 in Stonewall, TX to Eugene Garza, Sr and Estefana Garza. She was self-employed most of her life as a housekeeper for several families, many of which she was with for more than 40 years until she retired in 2012.

She married Mario Cardenas, Sr in September, 1959 and had five children.

She had many friends and family members she was close to and will always be remembered for her kindness, smile and joy even when facing loss. She enjoyed going to the beauty shop, reading Christian books, dancing, shopping, having lunch with her family and being with her friends. She was a prayer warrior just like her mother and loved the Lord with all her heart.

There will be an open visitation from 8 am to 8 pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Tuesday September 21, 2021.

Burial of cremains will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11:00 am at Calvary Cemetery, 1501 W. Avenue N. Pastor, Harold Watkins

Children: Yolanda Searls (Robert), Mario Cardenas, Jr (Elaine), Irene Rina Cardenas (Rudy Sanchez)

Grandchildren: Sabra Horton, Tony Cardenas, Mario Cardenas, III

Great-Grandchildren: Madilyn Najera
