Born and Raised in San Angelo, Kay was tough. Her concern for others and kindness were infectious. She had an inner strength that was wasn’t immediately noticed because of her disarming and genuine smile. But in the face of great loss she always chose to be happy. She set an example that will be hard to follow; but we'll smile and do our best.
She graduated from Central High School in San Angelo where she met the love of her Life, Bill Good. After high school she was married and began the most important job of her life, being the Mother to her 2 boys. They challenged her at every turn but she was always up to the task. Despite several arguments to the contrary, she refused the notion that her boys were anything less than perfect.
She had several other jobs and interest throughout her life. She retired as a claims adjustor for a nationwide Insurance Company in 1999, drove a school bus in San Angelo for a few years and worked as a volunteer in the community.
Kay volunteered for Meals for the Elderly, a job she took over when her husband Billy passed away. She often mentioned how much older she was that many of the recipients, but she enjoyed volunteering and liked giving back to the community.
She was a proud member and supporter of Glen Meadows Baptist Church. Additionally, she attended The Wednesday night Fellowship of Margarita Mommas and bi-weekly High School Girl Lunches.
Kay was a loving and caring Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister and Friend. She was always concerned for the well being of others before herself. She was one of a kind and will be truly missed.
