

Magdalene “Mickey” Harris passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Shannon Hospital. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in San Angelo, Texas. Deacon Stanley Lange will conduct the service. Entombment will follow at Calvary Garden Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.
Mickey was born November 21, 1925 in Runnels County, Texas to Isabella and Willie Fischer. She married Robert Wayne Harris August 3, 1946 in Ballinger, Texas. They lived in Ballinger, California, Big Spring and San Angelo. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before his death in 1997. Mickey was a loving wife and mother, devoted to her family. After her children were older she worked for Newsfoto and Travis Elementary. She was a member of Holy Angels Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isabella and Willie Fischer; husband Robert Harris; daughter Debbie Sellers; brothers Alton and Roy Fischer; and sister Venita Bagwell.
Mickey is survived by her daughters Marion Kay Jurecek and husband Dennis of Breckenridge, Texas; Barbara Scranton and husband Pat of Brownwood, Texas; Patti Davis and husband John, Beth Tucker and husband Larry, and son Robert Harris, Jr. and wife Kathleen, all of San Angelo, Texas; sisters Agnes Parker of Ballinger, Texas; Lucille Rohmfeld of Rowena, Texas; Mary Francis Williams and husband Garland of Snyder, Texas; Laurene Goetz of San Angelo, Texas; Willa Mae Briley and W.C. of San Angelo; and a brother Willie “Buddy” Fischer, Jr. and wife Totsie of San Angelo, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Mickey is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Serving pallbearers will be her grandsons: Brandall Binion, Brian Binion, Matt Tucker, Tommy Jones, Hayden Harris, and Tanner Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be William “Bill” Olin, Mark Heidelberg and Benjamin “Ben” Olin.
The family expresses special thanks to all who have had a part in Mickey’s care over the years; Dr. Anderton and Penny Griffin, the staff at Myrtlewood Estates and Regency House.
