Marcelyn Johnson

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Johnson’s Funeral Home.

After moving to San Angelo in the early 1950’s she worked for the City of San Angelo, and went on to co-own Custom Wood Products. During this time she also returned to school and received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in English Literature. In the 1990’s Marcy moved to Dallas and worked for McMillian Publishing before retiring. After Retirement she spent time in Kentucky and eventually settled in Dallas in 1997. Her family was incredibly important to her especially her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters Kathy Thornton and husband Ricky of Zepher, Cary Williams and husband Bruce of Georgetown, KY, and Tricia Johnson Hardesty and husband Jonathan; grandchildren Adrian Flanagan and husband Dickie, Chris Williams, and Zach Hardesty, greatgrandchildren Eric and Katie Flanagan; brother Ron Hemenway and his wife Sandy, sister Andy Greene, and numerous other family members.
