Mark Anthony Palacio

After graduating from high school, Mark proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, where he earned the Expert Rifle Qualification Badge, Good Conduct Medal, and National Defense Service Medal. Following his military service, he obtained his welding certificate and worked for Long Industries, continuing to build a life defined by dedication and perseverance.

In his younger years, Mark was honored as “Most Handsome” in high school—an achievement that reflected not only his appearance but also the confidence and character.

Mark married Vianey Buenrostro, and together they had two daughters. He later met Victoria Chappa, who loved him unconditionally. Above all, Mark was a devoted father, proud Marine veteran, and loving son. His family was always at the center of his life.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: barbequing, fishing, cooking, lifting weights, and hunting. He especially loved spending time at the lake and river, and he cherished every moment shared with friends and family.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Evaristo and Angel Palacio; his grandfather, David Sanchez; and his uncle, Carlos Sanchez.

He is survived by his children, Natalie Palacio, Nareli Palacio, and Julian Palacio; his siblings, Gabriella Palacio, Evaristo Palacio, Jr., and James Reeves; his grandparents, Petra and Raymundo Cruz; his significant other, Victoria Chappa; the mother of his children, Vianey Buenrostro; his uncle, Ernesto Sanchez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The viewing for Mark will begin Thursday, April 2nd, 2026, at 3 pm with a prayer service to begin at 6:30 pm in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. His funeral service will also be held in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel at 10 am on April 3rd, 2026. Interment will follow at Belvedere Memorial Park.
