Marvin W. Cook, Sr. was born on November 3, 1926 in Bokeshe, Oklahoma and died on October 25, 2011 in San Angelo, Texas. Graveside services will be held at Lawnhaven Cemetery on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
Dad was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a painting contractor in San Angelo for over 50 years. He loved restoring old cars as a hobby. He married Billie Dean Mathis in 1949 and together they had three children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Dean, a son, David Lee Cook, his parents, Leonard and Lavada Cook and a sister, Leona Bridges, . Dad is survived by his sons, Marvin Cook, Jr. (Dub) and wife, Nancy, and their son, David Bradley Cook, and Daryl Russell Cook and wife, Resie, and their son, Shane Lee Kuykendall. Also surviving is his brother, Calvin Cook, and sister, Iona Ward, of Oklahoma.
