Oscar Martinez

Our Beloved Father, Son, Brother, Fiance', & Brother in Arms; Oscar R Martinez was called to ride into the roads of eternal glory with Our Heavenly Father. Oscar R. Martinez 55, passed from this world on June 13, 2013.

Oscar was born January 27, 1958 in San Angelo. He grew up in San Angelo and graduated from Lakeview High School. Sgt. Martinez served in the US Army within the 82nd Airborne division for four years involved in assignments in Grenada, Cairo, and Turkey, among others. After being honorably discharged He returned to San Angelo working for Ethicon for 31 years. He had retired May 31, 2013. Oscar loved motorcycles and was a founding member of original Huesos Cruzados MC.

Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his father Daniel P. Martinez.

Oscar is survived by his Mother Senaida R. Martinez, his daughter Naya Martinez and sons Charles and Joshua Martinez; He had five grandchildren Anthony, Maddie, Liam, Damian and Micah with other survivors including his sisters Esperanza Trejo, Sylvia Martinez, Dahlia Stewart, Eva Garcia and Linda Gonzales.

He is eternally loved and honored by his fiancé Sara G. Serna, who shared in his passion of motorcycling.

Pallbearers will be his nephews: Michael Alverado, Billy Pruitt, Nicholas Navarro, Anthony Trejo, Andrew Garcia, and Rick Hurst.

A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday June 16, 2013 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with a flag line held in memoriam by fellow members of the TX Patriot Guard Riders. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday June 17, 2013 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with a PGR escort leading to his final resting at Lawnhaven Memorial Veterans Gardens with full military honors burial proceeding.
