Pedro "Pete" B. Garcia

Pedro “Pete” B. Garcia, 44, of San Angelo, TX was received with open arms by our Heavenly Father on September 4, 2021. Pete was born on September 11, 1976, in Big Spring, TX to Jesse and Alexandria Garcia.

Pete was a successful truck driver all his life. He spent many years following his father’s hard work ethic at several cotton gins, hauling cotton. His love for driving later followed him to work alongside his brother, Dimas Garcia.

Pete married Christal in 2014 and always said he became a husband, father, and grandpa all in the same year. His love for her was so abundant that it passed onto her children who he accepted and loved as his own.

Pete will always be remembered for his humor, his warm smile, and his kind heart. His love for Jesus impacted many souls. He was a generous man who never met a stranger. Pete was a selfless man who would do anything for anyone. He had an infectious laugh that will be infinitely missed.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Christopher Hogeda. He is survived by his wife, Christal Garcia; his stepchildren, Carissa H., Larry H. (Ashley), Gino G. (Lacy); his grandchildren, Koleson, Liam, Kynslee, and Londyn all of San Angelo, TX; his siblings, Isabella S. (Richard) of Las Cruces, NM, Elisa F. (John) of Hale Center, TX, Linda R. of Sinton, TX, Jesse G. Jr. (Christy) of Snyder, TX, Virginia G., Dimas G. (Cindy), and Anna G. all of San Angelo, TX; his mother and father-in-law, Yolanda and Manuel Gonzales of San Angelo, TX; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

A viewing will be held at Johnson’s funeral home on Wednesday, September 8 from 6-8 pm. A celebration of his life will be held at San Angelo First Assembly of God church, 1442 Edmund Blvd. on September 9 at 10am.
