She was born on March 11, 1940, in Fife, Texas, to Gregorio and Lenora Sandoval. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Rebecca dedicated her life to caring for her home and family. On August 11, 1958, she married the love of her life, Joe A. Garcia, and together they raised five children.
Rebecca was a faithful member of First Assembly of God and lived her life grounded in faith, love, and service to others. She had a deep passion for her family and will be remembered for her nurturing heart, unwavering devotion, and enduring love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her strength, warmth, and faith left a lasting legacy in the lives of those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose A. Garcia; her parents, Gregorio and Lenora Sandoval; her brothers David, Willie, Danny, John, George, and Henry; and her sisters Isabella, Irene, Dora, and Marianna.
Rebecca is survived by her children: Christina S. Garcia, Bentura S. Garcia, Esperanza Guzman, Steve J. Garcia, and Anthony Garcia; her cherished grandchildren: Angie Gutierrez, Andrea Martinez, Amy Williamson, Jacob Garcia, Monica Salinas, Steve Garcia Jr., JB Garcia, Christopher Ledezma, Rachel Ledezma, Amanda Garcia, Kyle Garcia, Michelle Reyes, Esmeralda Perez, Daniel Garcia, Thomas Garcia, Sonia Garcia, Joseph Garcia, and Andrew Garcia. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Vicki, Bertha, and Lucy, along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Sunday, August 10, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Monday, August 11, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a burial at Fairmount Cemetery.
