My heartfelt sympathy to the family of Col. Day.  I served with him for many years in the Texas National Guard and appreciated his abilities and dedication.

Our sincere condolences to the family in the loss of COL Day. He was a valuable mentor and someone I respected immensely. A true Patriot and credit to his Nation and State and I thoroughly enjoyed serving with him for several years. He is missed, but his legacy lives on.
