

Abel Patino Jr a devoted family man, a valiant Vietnam Veteran, and a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, passed away peacefully on March 19,2024, at the age of 76, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born 12/22/1947, Abel Patino Jr, was a proud son of San Antonio, Tx, where he was raised by his loving parents, Abel Patino Sr and Ofelia G Hernandez. He learned the values of honor, duty, and sacrifice from his parents, values that would shape his life’s journey in profound ways. Abel Patino Jr, lived a life marked by resilience, honor, and service to his country and family. He enlisted in the Marine Corps at a young age, answering the call of duty during the Vietnam War.
After his honorable discharge from the military, Abel Patino Jr returned home, where he embarked on another noble journey-Fatherhood. He was blessed with five children, whom he cherished and devoted himself too wholeheartedly. His unwavering love, guidance, and support shaped the lives of his children, instilling in them the values of integrity, perseverance, and compassion.
Beyond his role as a father, grandfather Abel Patino Jr was known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. He touched the lives of many with his warm smile, gentle demeanor, and genuine compassion.
In his leisure time, Abel Patino Jr enjoyed spending quality time with his family, sharing stories, being the family DJ for family functions, and BBQing.
He is preceded in death by his son Abel Patino III, father, Abel P. Patino Sr, and his mother Ofelia G. Hernandez.
Abel Patino Jr legacy of courage, and love will forever live on in the hearts of his children Roy Garcia (Patricia), Cecilia Sanchez (Tony), Abel Anthony Patino (Rosie), Ernest Patino (Ashley) and Grandchildren, Ray Morales, Vanessa Garcia, Emily Hernandez, Christopher Garcia, Dominic Patino, Araceli Sanchez, Mia Patino, and great – grandchild Layla Morales. His siblings Everett Patino (Irene), Richard Patino (Jennie), Fernando Patino (Rosie), Edward Patino, Robert Patino, Martin Patino, Yolanda Amador (Armando), Diana Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews. Though he may be physically absent, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Abel Patino Jr will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing that his legacy of honor and love will endure for generations to come.
