Alejandro Kelly Ruiz-King, affectionately known as Alex, passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 27 in San Antonio, Texas. Born on May 2, 1997, in Southfield, Michigan, Alex was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew him. He was a beloved son, grandson, father, husband, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend whose warm spirit and infectious laughter will be profoundly missed.
Alex grew up in a loving household, the cherished son of Rebecca Williams and Timothy King Sr., and later, the adult stepson of Corey Williams. His formative years were enriched by the presence of his grandparents Kathleen Ruiz and Gilbert Ruiz, as well as his TT Caraugh and Tio Sergio. Alex's life was further blessed with the companionship of his sisters, Layla and Isabella Tejada, and his siblings Adella, Ashley, Timothy Jr, Jack, and Trayvon King. He was a proud and devoted father to his three daughters, Kayton, Kamryn and Kamille King, and a loving husband to his wife, Amy Sandoval.
Alex's high school education journey began at MacArthur High School and continued at Ronald Reagan High School, where he gained many friends. Although he pursued some college education, Alex's entrepreneurial spirit led him down a different path, and he became a business owner. Alex's passion to engage with people and provide for his family drove his never-ending entrepreneurial spirit.
Alex enjoyed playing football in middle school and high school. Beyond the field, Alex had a creative soul, which found expression through his love of making music. He was also a fashion enthusiast who took great pride in his appearance, always dressing sharply.
Among his many roles, Alex was the family comedian, always ready with a joke or a playful prank to lift the spirits of those around him. His sense of humor was a source of endless entertainment and comfort, making many family gatherings cherished memories. But above all, Alex was a hands-on father who dedicated himself to his daughters, providing them with love, guidance, and support.
Friends and family remember Alex as an individual who was not only funny but also loving and intelligent. His presence was a gift to those who had the privilege of knowing him, and his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. Alex's life was a testament to the power of love, laughter, and resilience.
Alex leaves a legacy of love and laughter behind that will be carried forward by those who loved him. He is survived by his mother, Rebecca, father, Timothy Sr., stepfather Corey, sisters Layla and Isabella, siblings Adella, Ashley, Timothy Jr, Jack, and Trayvon, his daughters, Kayton, Kamryn, and Kamille, his wife, Amy, and his grandparents Kathleen and Gilbert, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
