Al and I were stationed together in Ubon Thailand in 1971/72.  He was one of the friendliest and most entertaining friends I ever had.

 Would appreciate it if a family member would respond back to me as I have some photos you may like to have.

Every time I came out to an aircraft that Al was getting ready, I was greeted by a smile and a handshake. It was truly an honor to have Al give the signal to taxi. I know everyone in the T-6 community at Randolph AFB and beyond misses him greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My deepest sympathies to the Alvarez family. I was fortunate enough to work alongside with Al, for a time and got to know the man fairly well. He truly was a wonderful man, with such a positive loving spirit that would light you up. God Bless, you will be dearly missed.
