Alfredo L. Flores

NOVEMBER 30, 1940-NOVEMBER 5, 2014

Alfredo L. Flores, age 73, of San Antonio, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and later worked as a private investigator.

Fred ran a successful bar business known as Speedway Inn for over 35 years. Fred was a beloved husband and loving father to his family. Fred was a very fair and giving man to his family as well as a father figure to his nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed collecting antiques and antique beer signs. He loved traveling, fishing, watching his Dallas Cowboys and old western movies. He inspired his family to do better and do things the right way and with his guidance his three children are very successful.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicolas and Anita Flores; siblings, Vicente Flores, Rudy Flores, Nicolas Flores, Manuel Flores and Angelita Zaragoza.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia E. Flores; sons, Robert E. Flores and wife, Patricia, and Alfredo L. Flores, Jr. and wife, Lisa M.; daughter, Denise M. Flores; grandchildren, Christopher A. Flores, Eric A. Flores and wife, Yoselin, and Annalise N. Villanueva; brothers, Librado L. Flores and wife, Melinda, Alvino Flores and wife, Molly, Paul L. Flores, and Faustino L. Flores; sisters, Audelia Martinez, Benita Lopez and husband, Ignacio, Molly Rodriguez and husband, Albert, and Gloria F. Ward; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on 1101 McCullough.
