Alice Emily De La Garza, born on June 8, 1929 in Rio Grande City, Texas went to be with the Lord on June 17, 2011 at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo A. De La Garza Sr. in 1989. Survivors include her son, Rodolfo A. De La Garza Jr. & wife Patti; grandson, Rudy A. De La Garza III; sister, Florence Clepper; brother, Lawrence Rowe & wife Sarah; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 6-9:00 pm on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 am on Friday, June 24, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
