Lula Alice Jimerson, born November 30, 1923 in Mena, Arkansas to Jessye Smith Harrison and William Lee Harrison, was called home by her Lord and Savior on June 8 in San Antonio. She was 94. Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, W.H. "Jimmie" Jimerson, 7 brothers, and 2 sisters. She has been an active member of her church since 1963. She was a loving wife and mother, a super Mema and friend who will be dearly missed. Alice is survived by her children: Judy Thurman (Jack), and Garry Jimerson; her grandchildren: James Thurman (Colleen), Jeannie Thurman Noack (Kevin), and Ryan Jimerson; and her great-grandchildren: Jacklyn, Jessica, Kasey, Maya, Mitchell, and many relatives and friends.
The visitation will be Thursday, June 15 from 6 to 8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home: 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Friday June 15 at Grace Baptist Temple: 4938 Bluemel Rd, San Antonio. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.sunsetfuneralhomesa.com.
