She was both loved and loving and will be missed by all who knew her. Alice was born in Bellow Falls, Vermont on June 17, 1946. She had an IQ of 140 and attended St. Annes High School, then later graduated from Hollins College in Hollins, Virginia. She had a career as a manager at Argonaut Group for over 35 years, where she was a tax and benefit administrator.
Alice was a prayer warrior and a known giver in her community; she also donated to numerous charities that helped children, animals, and veterans. Alice also a prolific letter writer to the local newspaper where she expressed anti-war and anti-corruption positions.
Alice enjoyed square dancing, reading and (sudoku) crossword puzzles as was well as Nascar racing, (her favorite racer was Jeff Gordon).
She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Alice is preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Lynde Ward; mother, Alice Willoughby Berry Newton; her father, Willis Ray Ward.
