Alicia Garza, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, just one day shy of her 80th birthday. Born on June 4, 1945, in Mexico to Benjamin Leon and Catalina Garcia, Alicia carried her heritage with pride and grace throughout her life.
On May 22, 1965, she married Emilio Garza. They built a life rooted in family and faith. Emilio preceded her in death in 2020.
Alicia was the proud mother of three sons: Dr. Rene (Suzanne) Garza, David (Heather) Garza, and Javier Garza. Her legacy continues through her eight cherished grandchildren: Stephanie, Jeremy, Zack, Lexi, Gabe, Ashley, Marissa, and Oliver. She adored each of them and found immense joy in watching them grow.
Alicia was known for her generosity, friendliness and active social life. She touched many people with her kindness and love for her family. She will be remembered for her appreciation of music, dancing and her unwavering devotion to those she held dear.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
