

ALIE BALDRIDGE. Beloved husband, father and grandfather was called home to our dear Lord on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Was born on February 6, 1928 in Tomahawk, Kentucky to George and Bula (Miller) Baldridge. He is survived by his wife, Irene; son Everett Baldridge and daughter, Kimberlee H. Landry; grandchildren Ambur Lynn Huiatt and Amanda Heather Huiatt; brother Sam and wife Shirley Baldridge, sister Jewel Emmons as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins; sister-in-laws Hilda Ploetz and Lorraine Baldridge. Al was a devoted family man active in the community. He was a veteran of the World War II and the Korean Conflict Era. He served in the Army from May 7, 1946 to October 15, 1947 and the Air Force from July 20, 1948 to July 1, 1965 was honorably discharged as a Master Sgt. and honorably discharged as a civilian technicion at Kelly AFB until retirement in 1985. Was a graduate of Southwest Texas University with BS Degree. After retirement he became a Real Estate Broker and business man. Established his business, International Realty Plus-Al Baldridge, co-owned with his wife, Irene for over 20 years. Served as a Boy Scout leader, member of Alzafar Shrine, American Legion, Order of Masons, City of Leon Valley Council member and Leon Valley Chamber. Al enjoyed the political field over the years in the city of Leon Valley. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 17, 2013. A funeral service will be conducted at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev, Jeff Lange and Rev, Bill Burns officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
