

Growing up on the Texas Coast made her a life long shrimp lover. She also had a great love for flora and fauna and she
had a knack for giving life to beautiful plants and flowers. She loved gardening. She was a wonderful Southern cook and she loved
to cook for her family. Following Golf and Tennis greats was another of her passions and she herself was a tennis player. Her favorite activity might have been gathering
with her devoted card group in San Antonio. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and Le Club Garden Club. Allene was a true blue Texan through and through.
Always carefully and properly dressed, she was a dignified presence wherever she would go. Her generosity to her friends
and family will be long remembered.
Allene was the beloved mother of two children - William Kent Martin and Suzanne Martin Hudson. She is survived by Kent ( his wife Elva Martin), Suzanne
and her grandsons Michael Martin Hudson ,Adam Gage Martin and Emilio de Saro. She also had four step daughters, Pat Hill (Husband Roger), Penny Owens (Husband Ray and daughters Candace Shaw and Amy Campbell), Peggy Martin ( and children Karen Thompson and Brian Dailey) and Stephanie
Burt( sons Jared Burt and Tommy Burt)
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy L. Martin, Her father and mother, Rubin Franklin Cotton and Janie Polka Cotton and her sister Linnie Mae Cotton.
The family will hold a private funeral on Saturday June 4th. Contributions can be made in her honor to the Lupus Foundation of America.
