March 2, 1925-November 3, 2015
Ana Celina was born in Villa Hermosa (Tolima), Colombia to the late Manuel Betancourt and Maria Arango. She studied and eventually became an elementary school teacher. Later in life she worked for McSilver and Motorola as an electronic specialist. She moved to the United States in 1986 to be near her youngest daughter, Gloria. She worked in childcare in Miami. She loved children and being around them. Ana Celina loved to crochet and knit. She loved to sing and enjoyed hearing Gloria sing to her, especially in her later years. She had a tender heart when it came to children and animals and a strong heart and will when it came to living life to the fullest. That is the legacy she leaves behind for her children and grandchildren.
Ana Celina is survived by her children; Libia Talero Valcarcel, Dayro Arturo Talero, Daissy Talero and Gloria Talero; her grandchildren Javier, Gavi, Doris Adriana, Henry, Liliana, Gicel, Dayro Gustavo, Nubia Hadbleidy, William Fernando, Ivonne, Andrey, Betsy and Antonio, and numerous great grandchildren.
