Andrew Moses Cox, 16, was found to have taken his life on Saturday, October 1, in an ill-conceived permanent solution to a temporary problem. Andrew was born January 8, 2000, in San Antonio, Texas and born again by receiving Christ as Savior at a young age. He attended River City Believers Academy from K-11th grade. Known for his inventive and brilliant mind, he was often cited as the "smartest person in the classroom". Also, from a pure and generous heart, he often earned money to buy presents for his brothers and without prompting, he faithfully tithed to his church, River City Community Church.
He is survived by his parents, Bill and April Cox and brothers, William, Gavrie, and Lukas. His family and many others will deeply miss Andrew and will always cherish many wonderful memories such as his wit, the homework help he gave his little brothers, his unique gift of removing stickers with tweezers, and his ability to answer Daddy's Bible time questions, when others were stumped.
Services will be held at his church located at 16765 Lookout Rd., Selma, TX 78154 on Saturday Oct. 8 at 10:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, Andrew's family would appreciate a donation in Andrew's name to the school he truly loved, River City Believers Academy Scholarship and Building Fund.
