

Mr. Angel M. Roman, Sr., age 92, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015, as he was called home to be with Christ. He was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on April 29, 1923. He moved to San Antonio after his service in the U.S. Army. He attended and graduated from Trinity University with a major in Accounting. He served in civil service for 50 years at Kelly Air Force Base after a long and distinguished career with the 433rd Wing. He was active with church groups at both Holy Rosary and Holy Family Catholic Churches ~ in the CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) and the NCAA (Northwest Catholic Athletic Association). He was married to Mary Ann Roman who passed away in 2007 and together had three sons: Angel Jr., Ricardo and Ronnie Roman. He was a kind and loving father who enjoyed baseball, track, fishing, swimming, current events, gardening, salsa music and dancing with his wife. In addition to his beloved wife, Mary Ann, he is preceded in death by his parents, Julia and Juan O. Roman; and his step-mother, Maria Roman. Angel is survived by his beloved sons: Angel M. Roman, Jr. and wife, Mary Anne; Ricardo A. Roman and wife, Mary D; Ronnie A. Roman and wife, Cathy; sisters: Christina Fierros and husband Robert and family; Ermita Ruiz and family; brothers: Libertad and Sebastian Roman and their families; sister-in-law, Josephine Luna Uriegas and family; grandchildren, Ivy Michelle Roman, Nicole Roman Latka; and great grandchild, Gavin Munoz. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24th beginning at 6:00 PM in the Porter Loring chapel.
