Angela S. Arteaga

Angela S. Arteaga, age 92, of San Antonio, died peacefully Friday, February 10, 2023, surrounded by loving caregivers. She was a devoted wife of 48 years, a wonderful homemaker to her grateful family. She was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico to Guadalupe and Maria Valentina Santos. Mrs. Arteaga was a member of the Guadalupana Society of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Constantino M. Arteaga and their daughter, Silvia M. Arteaga; and siblings, Consuelo Rivas, Florentino Santos, Jesus Santos, and Guadalupe Santos. She is survived by her daughters, Elva Arteaga and wife Dr. Rebecca Barrington; Juanita Johnson and husband Bradley; son, Jose A. Arteaga and wife Irene, all of San Antonio; seven grandchildren, Michael Arteaga, Jason Arteaga, Christina Arteaga Casanova and spouse Christopher, Marissa Johnson Dibrell and spouse Caleb Dibrell, Jr., Bradley Johnson II and spouse Laura Edwards, Monique Johnson Villalpando and spouse Emmanuel, Jon-Erik Johnson and spouse Priscilla. and seven great-grandchildren, Genesis and Caleb Dibrell III, Bradley III and Walker Johnson, Logan and Chelsea Villalpando, Persephone Johnson. The family would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Raul Santoscoy for his care to our mother as her Physician, to the staff of Remarkable Hospice Care and Serenity Personal Care for joining us in our final journey with our mother.

The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary, Monday, February 20, 2023.
