

Angelina Soliz Salinas, beloved mother, grandmother, and homemaker, passed away on June 18, 2024 at the age of 88. Born to Sixta Arrendo Carrasco and Ascension Lopez Soliz on August 2, 1935, Angelina grew up surrounded by love in Moore, Texas. She joined her loving husband, Astolfo Flores Salinas, in marriage, and together they shared 45 years of cherished memories before his passing in 2008.
Angelina was a woman of grace and elegance, known for her love of flowers and gardening. Her green thumb brought beauty to her surroundings and joy to those who knew her. She held a deep passion for music, dancing, and fashion. Always impeccably dressed, she had a flair for fashion that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
In addition to her husband and parents, Angelina was preceded in death by her son, Adolph Jr., two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Salinas Rodriguez, and husband Emil; son, Javier Salinas, and wife Peggy; grandchildren Clarissa Alvarez, Hector John Ybarra and wife Priscilla, Ali Rodriguez, Leah Alvarez, Christopher Carroll, Scott Pfel, and Andrew Salinas; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Angelina will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, compassion, and the love she showered upon her family. Her legacy of kindness and her passion for dance and gardening will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, June 30, 2024 beginning at 6:00 PM at Porter Loring Mortuary.

Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, where Angelina and Astolfo will be reunited.
Despite her love for flowers, the family is requesting that a memorial donation be considered to the United Service Organization (USO) at USO.org. A non-profit organization that focuses on military members and their families providing many programs and services for deployed and stateside service members and their families to assist them with the hardships of separation and providing a community they can rely on.
Angelina Soliz Salinas will be dearly missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
