Born in Mexia, Texas on July 16, 1934, she attended public school in Mexia and graduated from Mexia High School in 1951.
She attended Stephens College in Missouri and in 1955, she received her Bachelor Degree in Fashion Design with a Minor in Elementary Education from the University of Texas-Austin where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi.
On February 11, 1956 she married Donald Olda Ferguson in Mexia, TX.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Anne Lewis Peyton Mason; father, William Wallace Mason, Sr., and brother, William Wallace Mason Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Olda Ferguson of San Antonio; daughter, Pamela Anne Blackburn and husband, Alan Jeffrey Blackburn of Houston; son, Mark Mason Ferguson of San Antonio; granddaughters: Alicia Anne Summers and husband, Matthew Paul Summers of Dallas; Courtney Marie Blackburn of Houston and Samantha Marie Ferguson of San Antonio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to the Memorial Funds for the Altar Guild of The Episcopal Church of Reconciliation, 8900 Starcrest, San Antonio, TX 78217 or a charity of one's choice.
