Anne Uzzi, age 88, born in Italy on July 15, 1922 went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2011, at her home, surrounded by her family. Anne met her husband, Dominick while working at a defense plant in 1941, in New York. He went off to war, while Anne waited patiently for his return. Then, to marry the love of her life and be blessed to have a lifetime together, as lovers, and best friends. She was a beautician for many years, always caring for others. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Dominick Peter Uzzi; children, Peter Uzzi and wife, Statia, Lori Uzzi, Richard Uzzi and wife, Gaby, Karen Hubbs and husband, Johnny; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of her life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2011 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
