

She was born on May 30, 1933 in Nowata, Oklahoma to James and Edith Inman and spent most of her youth in the Texas panhandle, near present day Fritch and Borger. She graduated from Phillips (TX) High School in 1951 and the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in 1983, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
She was married to Tommy Atkins for 54 wonderful years, living in Austin (TX), Plainview (TX), Littlefield (TX), Norman (OK) and San Antonio until his death in 2007. They had two children, daughter Linda and son Jim. As a long-time resident of San Antonio, Annetta has served in numerous volunteer positions, particularly as an officer of the Scenic Oaks Property Owners Association and more recently, as a part of the Villa de San Antonio Residents' Council.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mike Cates, of Manhattan, KS and her daughter-in-law, Meg Atkins, of Frederic, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy, and son, Jim.
