Anthony was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on June 11, 1959, to Antonio and Conrada Leyba. He attended school in Las Vegas, New Mexico, and graduated from West Las Vegas High School. On July 24, 1987, he married the love of his life, Gloria Leyba, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
A skilled and dedicated professional, Anthony worked as a Master Mechanic for Red McCombs for 24 years. His talent, work ethic, and kind heart earned him the respect and friendship of many throughout his life.
Anthony was loved by many and known for his remarkable musical gifts—from singing backup vocals to playing keyboards and the saxophone. His music brought joy to those around him and reflected his vibrant, generous spirit.
He loved sharing stories of his childhood growing up on a rural ranch in New Mexico, where his love for family, faith, and hard work took root. Anthony had a true gift for hospitality and loved cooking and hosting gatherings for family and friends.
Together with his wife, Gloria, he created special holiday traditions that became cherished memories for all who experienced them. Those who shared in these moments often carried these traditions into their own homes—spreading the warmth and love that Anthony and Gloria began.
