Anton William Teschendorf Jr.

Anton William Teschendorf, Jr., age 88, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away on January 22, 2016. He was born to Anton William Teschendorf and Annie Ender in Sinton, Texas December 6, 1927.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, seven brothers, and his beloved wife of 49 years, Bessie (Franklin). He is survived by five children, Michael and Kim (Starzl) of San Antonio, TX, Connie and Robert McIntyre of Victoria, TX, Roy and Becky (Grobe) of McKinney, TX, Patrick of Peterstown, WV, and Ricky and Kim (McCarthy) of Keller, TX, twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anton was a WWII-era veteran who proudly served as a Navy Seabee in Alaska. He retired from Celanese in 1987 after over 35 years of service. He enjoyed watching any Texas sports team that was playing, game shows, coin collecting, and eating at his favorite restaurant of 50+ years, Whataburger. He is and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 6011 Grissom Rd, San Antonio, TX 78238. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make donations in Anton's memory to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. To be placed at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
