

Antonia Hernandez Vasquez, of San Antonio, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 12, 2013 at the age of 82.
Antonia was the owner of Vasquez Beauty Shop. She loved dancing with her husband and was very proud of their first place trophy. Antonia was very active in her church with the Guadalupanas, the church choir, ACTS community, the Cursillo, and was a Eucharistic Minister.
One of her hobbies was making rosaries for the community. Antonia had a great sense of humor. She was a generous, caring person and loved to spend time with her family. She had 13 brothers and sisters, and is survived by 3 sisters, Benita Martinez, Margarita Vasquez, and Elvira Salazar.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso and Nicolasa Hernandez; her husband of 64 years, Eleodoro C. Vasquez; and brothers and sisters, Ramon Hernandez, Amelia Zapata, Aurora Esquivel, Jesus Hernandez, Alfonso Hernandez, Joe Hernandez, Carmen Hernandez, Conception Martinez, Paula Miranda and Angelita Longoria.
Antonia is survived by her children, Yolanda V. Barrera (Adolfo), Gloria Martinez, Tina V. Medellin, Francis Vasquez, Eleodoro Vasquez, Jr., Gary Vasquez (Darlene); grandchildren, Yvette Boatwright, Anntoinette Perez, Marisa Jackson, Willie G. Martinez, Julie Gruber, Paul Martinez, Roland Medellin, Dallas Vasquez, and Starr Vasquez; great grandchildren, Alyssa Flores, Allison Polanco, Cameron Barnes, Joshua Polanco, Zachary Martinez, Erika Martinez, Joseph Polanco, Avery Boatwright, Ava Medellin, Kelsey Gruber, Olivia Boatwright, Jacob Perez and Caiden Gruber.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Porter Loring on McCullough.
