Araceli’s life was a testament to love, patience, and joy, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she touched. She found happiness in simple pleasures, like playing bingo and lotería, tending to her garden, nurturing her vibrant plants. Her love for baking brought the family together, with her pineapple upside-down cake and perfect sandtarts becoming the family’s cherished favorites.
Family was at the center of her world, and her devotion to her grandchildren was unmatched. She lovingly moved in with her children whenever a new grandchild was born, ensuring the family was surrounded by care and support. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her own family, as she often helped raise and guide other children with boundless patience and love.
In her younger years, she loved to dance and enjoyed life to its fullest. She met her first husband at school, growing up alongside him and building a life together. Later she found love again when she met her second husband in Chicago, where their love story began. She also treasured the time spent with her siblings, strengthening family bonds with her warmth and laughter.
She will be reunited in heaven with her parents, Amalia and Guillermo Moreno; siblings, Irma Garza, Emilia Gonzalez, Juanita Lopez, Maria Elena Hernandez, Adolfo Moreno, Demetrio Moreno, Onofre Jesus Moreno, Guillermo Moreno Jr., and Jose Moreno; former husbands, Enrique Ortega and Amador Cepeda.
Araceli’s memory will forever live in her children, Enrique Ortega III (Teresa Hall). Jorge A. Ortega (Maria), Adelaida Elizabeth Romo, Rosalinda Ortega, and Amy Lee Cepeda. Grandchildren, Jasmin, Eli James, Michael, Angelica, Chelsea, Mariana, Adriana, Jorge and Isabela; great-grandchildren, Payton, Brooks, James, Camilo, Nia, Oly, Natalie, Christian , Araceli, Isaiah, Hayden, Amora, Sebastian and Cecelia. She will also be remembered by all her numerous nieces, nephews, and many more extended family and friends.
