

Armida "Amy" Treviño Murguia, age 85, of San Antonio, our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of Wednesday, December 02, 2015. She was born on July 6, 1930 to Santiago Treviño and Armida Serrano. Amy was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Bertha Alcorta; three brothers, Santiago Treviño, Arthur Treviño and Humberto Treviño and one grandson, Andrew Murguia. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, David Murguia, Jr.; children, Michael Murguia (Becky Muzquiz), Vincent Murguia, Philip Murguia (Antonia), David Murguia (Kimberly), Theresa Nutt, Catherine Musselwhite (Lynette), Mark Murguia (Tina) and Matthew Murguia; 15 grandchildren and two sisters, Ann Marie Cuellar and Lydia Gonzalez.
After graduation from Ursuline High School, she married in 1950 and proceeded to provide for her family. Once their youngest child graduated from high school, she joined her husband in his law practice as his secretary and paralegal until illness in 1997 forced him to close his office. Later she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, gardening, traveling, gambling, as well as watching television and shopping from catalogues.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Ann Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough Ave.
