A proud member of the “Greatest Generation,” Arthur served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. His life was defined by service—to his country, his family, and his community. He married Helene Katz, and together they shared 68 devoted years until her passing.
Arthur was a passionate advocate for civic engagement and interfaith dialogue. He held leadership roles in numerous organizations, including Rotary International, AIPAC, Temple Beth-El, the Jewish Federation of San Antonio, and the National Conference of Christians and Jews. His lifelong mission was simple yet profound: to make the world a better place.
He is survived by his children, Rand Riklin (Martha), Tara Schiller (Jeff), and Scot Riklin; grandchildren, Calli Levin (Dan), Bradi Schiller, Morgan Parrish (Chris), Marina Riklin, and Sarah Beck; and great-grandchildren, Zahara and Asher Levin.
The family is grateful to Debbie Jacobs and her team of caregivers at Avionn Healthcare for the compassionate and professional care provided to Arthur during the last chapter of his life.
A private family graveside service will be held in his honor. A celebration of his life will be held later, on a date to be determined.
Arthur will be remembered for his wisdom, humor, and unwavering dedication to community and family.
