November 24, 1928 – February 27, 2019
It is with a heavy heart that the Sanchez family announces the passing of Arthur S. Sanchez, age 90, of San Antonio, TX. He was called to be with our Lord on February 27, 2019. He passed peacefully at home.
Arthur was predeceased by his parents, Miguel Sanchez (Frances), Maria Sanchez Moreno (Jose Maria / Chema Moreno), brothers Ernest and Ricardo Sanchez (Luisa), sister Elia Carey (Dan).
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Elida G. Sanchez, sons Ernest G. Sanchez (wife Sherrie Kibler-Sanchez), Stephen A. Sanchez (wife Viktoriia Poliectova Sanchez), daughter Cynthia Sanchez, grandson Jonathan M. Sanchez (wife Yuffry Meganingrum Sanchez), great-grandson Skylar Sanchez, brother Carlos Sanchez (wife Blandina Sanchez), aunt Maria Ortiz, and countless beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Arthur is a graduate of Edgewood High School, Class of 1947. He served our country honorably in the USAF. He is a decorated Korean War Veteran; a true patriot. TSGT Sanchez served 24 years in the Air National Guard and retired from Kelly AFB following 34 years of civil service.
“Tudie” was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was a man of integrity, a visionary of moral character; an inspiration to all who crossed his path. His faith in God never wavered. Please join us in celebrating his life.
