

Arturo T. Travieso, age 67, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016. He was born on August 29, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas to Estevan and Oralia Travieso. He is survived by his mother, Oralia, children, Marta and Vincent W. Travieso; brothers, Thomas A. and Estevan Jr. Travieso; sister, Maria Teresa Travieso. Arturo was a Thomas Jefferson Alumni, ROTC Drill Team Leader, and a Mustang football player. After graduating high school, he went on to join the military, serving 4 years as a Sergeant of the United States Air Force. After serving his military duties, Art then became a U.S. Postal Representative for a period of 31 years. Retiring at the age of 55 to fulfill his American Dreams. Art enjoyed life to the fullest and any adventures he choose in life. He was quite the hunter and fisherman. He loved his horse Waco, dearly. He also enjoyed golfing and most of all loved Nascar Racing with his 2 children. He had a Heart of Gold! Loved by so many family members and friends. Our beloved Arturo (Tuttie Boy) Travieso will be missed and forever in all our hearts. God Bless You. A visitation was held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera road on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 9, 2016 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with U.S. Air Force Military Honors.
