Aurelio Gonzalez Gonzalez born on November 12, 1936 went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2020 at the age of 83. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Anita M. Gonzalez, children Aurelio Jr, Enrique and Anita Gonzalez, parents Guadalupe and Emilia Gonzalez, brother Agustin Gonzalez and sister Avelina Gonzalez. He is survived by daughters Emilia G. Lira and Anita G. Alaniz (Juan) , son Augustine R. Gonzalez (Alma); daughter in law Kathy Gonzalez; Grandchildren; Joaquin Flores Jr.(Jeannette), Marissa Flores, Aurelio Gonzalez III, Sofia A. Gonzalez, and Enrique J. Alaniz. Great-grandchildren; Samantha R. Flores, Joseph A. Flores, Ariana M. Flores, Emory Eric Ybarra and Jiselle Flores. Sister Angelica Gonzalez Carrillo. Aurelio was born in Bloomington TX and at the age of three, following the passing of his father, the family moved to Saltillo, Coahuilla. When he turned eighteen, Aurelio came to San Antonio to begin a new life. He was a successful businessman and owned several businesses throughout his life. His most successful ventures were Gonzalez Café and Gonzalez Pool Room. His passion was always in the service aspect, interacting with people, talking with them and sharing stories from his original hometown, Saltillo. Aurelio was blissfully married to Anita for fifty-four years. He was a very generous man and helped many family members and friends. He was great provider to his family and a stern father figure. He ensured that his children work in the businesses to instill values, work ethics and customer service qualities. Our father enjoyed time playing billiards and dominoes with his friends. He especially enjoyed celebrating holiday and special occasions for our family, hosting several parties at our home. A visitation will be on Sunday April 26, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at Trevino funeral home on 226 Cupples Rd. On Monday April 27, 2020 there will be a Graveside service at San Fernando II Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. interment will follow.
