

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Aurora Tamez Belton, who entered eternal rest on January 27, 2025, at the remarkable age of 100. Born on December 16, 1924, Aurora lived a century filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
A devoted member of St. Henry's Catholic Church, Aurora found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved watching novelas, listening to Mariachi music, and tending to her garden, where she nurtured plants and had a deep appreciation for nature. She found great delight in birdwatching, and her beloved parrot, Pepe, often mimicked her lively conversations on the phone an activity she truly enjoyed. A spirited adventurer in her younger years, she loved traveling and camping, embracing the beauty of the world around her.
Aurora is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pete Belton; her parents, Arturo and Aurora Tamez; and numerous brothers and sisters.
She leaves behind a loving legacy through her children, Rachel Barboza, Raul Belton (Rebecca), and Richard Belton (Lucinda), along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends who will forever treasure her warmth and wisdom.
Aurora's love, laughter, and unwavering spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
