

Barbara Jean Buzzini B.J. died peacefully June 13, 2006. She was born July 20, 1934 in San Antonio. B.J. graduated from Alamo Heights High School.
She attended Stevens College and received her Bachelor's degree in education from Trinity University.
After retiring from a teaching career which spanned nearly three decades B.J. traveled much of the world, which included trips to South America, Europe, Africa, China, and Australia.
At home she was a past chairman of the Green Door Thrift Shop and a long time docent of the San Antonio Zoo. She was a life long member of Saint Luke's Episcopal Church. B.J. loved the Texas coast and spent a great deal of time at her house on Fulton Beach.
She had a genuine talent for art, a wry sense of humor and a love for all animals as evidenced by her many beloved pets through the years.
B.J. was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Rae Buzzini. She is survived by an aunt, Mary Jean Higgins; her brother and sister-in-law, Schot and Minnette Buzzini; her nephews, Jay and Byron Buzzini with their wives, Katherine and Bess; and her great nephews, Walt, Courtlandt and Wills. She is also survived by many cousins and numerous friends, too many to mention.
BJ's life will be celebrated in a Memorial Service Friday, June 16, 2006 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 11 St. Luke's Lane at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverends Malcolm Ellis and Walter Prehn III officiating.
