Barbara June Philippus

Barbara “June” Philippus, born on August 29th, 1933, in Luling, Texas, left this world on peacefully September 8th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of joy and countless smiles. Her life was a testament to the beauty of living each moment to its fullest.

June’s infectious laughter and warm heart touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She had an uncanny ability to turn ordinary moments into extraordinary memories, infusing them with her zest for life.

June was a beloved family member and friend, always there to offer a listening ear, advice, or a comforting hug. Her home was a place of warmth and hospitality, where gatherings were filled with love and laughter, delicious meals, and cherished conversations.

June is proceeded in death by her husband Hugh Philippus, Brother Moddie Smith, Sister in-law Evelyn Smith, Nephew Steve Smith, parents Moddie and Dorothy Smith.

June is survived by her children Michael Philippus (son) and wife Mary Philippus, Charles Koch(grandson), Stephen Koch (grandson), Melissa Grayless (daughter), Mary McBride (grand-daughter) and husband Chris McBride, Elizabeth Temple (grand-daughter), David Temple Jr. (grand-son), Evee McBride( great-grand-daughter), Ace McBride (great-grand-son), Clementine McBride (great-grand-daughter), Hermione McBride (great-grand-daughter), Ava Powell-Ramey (great-grand-daughter), Michah Powell-Ramey (great-grand-son), Malachi Powell-Ramey (great-grand-son), Steven Powell-Ramey (great-grand-son), and Julian Powell-Ramey Jr. (great-grand-son), April and Bo Myers (Niece, Nephew-in-law), Karisha Schattenberg (great niece), Zack Schattenberg (great-great nephew), Chris (great nephew) and wife Michelle Myers, Spencer and Elaina Myers (great-great nephew and niece), Brad Smith (great nephew) and wife Amanda, Shawna Schmidt (great niece) and husband Michael Schmidt, Camden Schmidt (great-great nephew).
