She and her husband, Mario, whom she met at a dance where he played in the band, shared 40 years of marriage until his passing in 1991. Together they had four children, Wanda, Mario, Rebecca, and Velma. Belia was a devoted mother to her kids and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-granddaughter.
Belia lived a long and joy-filled life. She was a person of strong faith that led how she lived her life. She enjoyed travelling, playing bingo, and making ceramics. Her green thumb ensured that everything she planted thrived, and she was renowned for her cooking, particularly her caldo, menudo, chicken mole, and soft chicken tacos. Her turkey gravy was a family favorite, a dish that Mario made sure he could replicate. She was a HUGE fan of the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys.
Belia was preceded in death by her husband, Mario R. Reyes, her parents, and her four siblings.
She leaves behind a loving family who dearly loves and misses her. Her family includes her children Wanda Reyes, Mario Reyes (Erlinda), Rebecca Rendon, and Velma Danielson (John), six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, her beloved dog Mitzi, and many other loving family members and friends.
The family extends a special, heartfelt thank you to all those who cared for Belia at Sodalis Stone Oak. She could not have had more kind and caring people supporting and helping her.
