Bernard "Bernie" D. Weinstein, age 85, of San Antonio, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Mr. Weinstein served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. After leaving the military, Bernie attended the University of Texas at Austin. He worked many years as a salesman for Cavender Automobile Company. Mr. Weinstein was a Master Mason and Past Master of San Antonio Lodge #1079, A.F. & A.M. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Phyllis J. Weinstein; sons, Edward Weinstein Rae, San Antonio, TX, Michael Weinstein Benay, Kirkland, WA; daughter, Anne Leslie Joseph Edward, Omaha, NE; sister, Elaine Kaufman, San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Justin, Jonny, Thommy, Nathaniel and Rebekah; and great granddaughter, Kaci.
