Berni was a highly intelligent woman, a fantastic listener and friend to many. She touched and brought warmth to many people she met throughout the years. Berni had an undying love for her husband David. No one would argue in saying Berni was a phenomenal debater. She was an accomplished cook who loved gourmet meals. She was a world traveler with a love for Hawaii. A very strong woman, Berni was a breast cancer survivor of more than 7 years. After this battle, she worked hard and earned a degree in Economics from the University of Texas at San Antonio after the age of 35.
Berni is survived by her husband, David Duffin; step-daughter, Maddison Duffin; parents-in-law, Deborah and Robert Duffin; brother-in-law, Dustin Duffin; sister-in-law, Anita Duffin; nephews, Cody Duffin and Kyle Duffin; niece, Cori Duffin and many loving friends, including Jim and Amanda Tidmore; Amanda Quintana and Erika Naegelin.
