

Beth Jeanne Stark Fahrenkrug, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on April 24, 1930, in San Antonio, Texas to parents Maggie Williams and F. A. Stark Sr. She grew up in Victoria, Texas and attended Victoria College. She worked for Civil Service for 23 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Beth enjoyed the Red Hat Society and entering sweepstakes with the Sweepers and Rakers Sweepstakes Club, and she often won! She loved cooking and baking, celebrating all holidays, and she was devoted to her large family. Fun and energetic, Beth was always the first one up and the last one to bed.
Beth wanted these words included in her obituary: “She loved her family without reservation and was extremely proud of them and all their accomplishments in their lives and their characters.”
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother F.A. Stark, Jr. and wife Dorothy; sister Marie Stark Ernst and husband William; and niece Anna Marie Ernst Howard. Beth is survived by her husband of 48 years DeWayne Fahrenkrug; children Benny Buckert (Rhonda), Marva Hougen (Steve), Cindy Clark (Gary), and Randy Jobe (Patty), and stepchildren Bob Fahrenkrug and Dawn “Shelly” Otten; grandchildren Amy Johnson, Tammi Dominguez, Carl Buckert, Kara Hougen-Burris, Jett Stanzione, Eric Hougen, Zachary Hougen, Tyler Jobe, Peyton Cherry, and Kaylee Jobe; great-grandchildren Nicholas Dominguez, Adrian Dominguez, Isabella Dominguez, Slade Nolan, Cash Johnson, Waylon Buckert, Jax Stanzione, Beckham Stanzione, Jagger Stanzione, and Ronan Hougen; and great-great grandchild Athena Dominguez.

Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, 8919 US HWY 87 N. Victoria, Texas, 77904. Pallbearers will be Eric Hougen, Tyler Jobe, Zachary Hougen, Slade Nolan, Nicholas Dominguez, Adrian Dominguez, and John Howard. Honorary Pallbearers are Gary Clark and Steve Hougen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
