Betty Jo Shermer, age 76, lost her battle with Alzheimer’s disease on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in Kerrville, Texas. She was born in San Antonio, Texas into a military family and lived in many places in the United States and abroad while growing up. Betty had her own bookkeeping business for many years. Affectionately called “BJ” to those who knew her, she never met a stranger. She was smart and witty, and could always give you a chuckle with her great sense of humor. She was very caring and a good friend to many.
Betty Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Denny Shermer, and her parents Thelma and Milton Taylor. She is survived by several cousins, eight step-children, and numerous step grandchildren who loved her. She will be missed by all who knew her.
