

Betty Jean Jones, age 93, peacefully passed away on October 23, 2024, in Spring Branch, Texas. Born on August 12, 1931, to Gladys Irene and William Denman Cutrer in McComb, Mississippi, Betty lived a full and meaningful life filled with love, faith, and family.
A woman of deep faith, Betty was a devoted member of John Hagee ministries in San Antonio, where she worshiped and served faithfully. Her love for God guided her life, as did her devotion to her family and her beloved Dallas Cowboys. Known for her impeccable sense of style and a warmth that touched all who met her, Betty’s kindness was as recognizable as her joy for life.She is fondly remembered as “Nonnie” by her four grandchildren - Adam, Sarah, Jared, and Cameron - whom she adored, as well as her seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy. Her gentle spirit and unwavering support made her a cherished presence in their lives.
Betty’s life journey took her from Mississippi to Alaska before settling in San Antonio, where she embraced the community and formed lasting friendships. Whether cheering on the Cowboys, curling up with a mystery novel, or enjoying time with family and friends, she approached life with grace and gratitude.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Bertel Jones. Left to honor her memory are her sister, Martha Self, and her two daughters, Beryl Ann Klipp and Janica Sue Krog, along with Janica’s husband, Bill.
