Betty was born October 28, 1923 in Buchtel, Athens County, Ohio, the daughter of James David Tolliver and Martha Sturgill Tolliver.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, The Rev. Rollin Saxe Polk, Jr., their children, Peter Crandall Polk of Arlington, Texas, Jane Elizabeth Polk Sinski, their grandchild, Jennifer Carol Sinski, both of Kerrville, Texas, and Harold Clayton Tolliver of Akron, Ohio.
Since her retirement from nursing, Betty served her neighborhood lovingly by keeping in touch with families with illness and other family crises.

Interment will be private in the Columbarium of the Bishop Jones Episcopal Diocesan Center.
