

Betty June Watson passed away peacefully on March 5, 2015. She was born in Walla Walla, Washington on August 10, 1921 to Hermann and Yolande Showerman Timm. Betty grew up in Walla Walla and graduated from Whitman College. She met her husband, Jack Watson, Jr., who was stationed at the Army Air base in Walla Walla. They married on November 26, 1944 and settled in Texas after the war. They moved to San Antonio in 1959 where they raised their family. Betty was involved in many volunteer activities and was a member of Northwood Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Delta Delta Delta Sorority.
Betty lost her husband, Jack Watson, Jr. in 2006. She is survived by her three children, James A. "Andy" Watson of Houston, Mary Beth Delano and husband Rick of Corpus Christi, Janet Cunningham of Dallas; her grandchildren, Adam Delano and wife Meredith, Ashley Delano, Shelby Cunningham, Loudon Cunningham, Miles Cunningham, Cato Cunningham and Tracy Dupre and husband Travis; her sister, Maryanne Freeman and husband Bob of Walla Walla, Washington; Sisters-in-Law Kathleen Timm, Josephine Watson, Sissy Watson and Jane Watson; Brother-in-Law Fred Watson, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved. She was predeceased by her brother, Rodney Timm, of Eureka, California.
Betty was known for her generous spirit, constant smile, and elegant demeanor and was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a long time resident of the Northwood area and spent her last years at The Inn at Los Patios. She treasured her many friends there and the special ladies of the "Lunch Table." Her friends and the dedicated staff of Los Patios enriched her life.
The family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Cohen for his years of care of Betty and Jack; Pammy Randle, Maria, Mary, Candi, and Flo along with many others who provided care and companionship to Betty.
