Beverly Burklow

Born on July 18, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, Beverly spent her childhood in Henderson, TX and later in San Antonio, TX, where she met the love of her life, Urah (Mal) Malcome Burklow. The two shared 36 years of marriage filled with deep friendship, laughter, and a partnership that was truly enviable.

Together, Beverly and Mal lived in San Antonio, TX before retiring to Horseshoe Bay Llano, TX then after many years moved to Eagle’s Bluff outside of Tyler, Texas to be closer to her son Matt and his family. They traveled the world together, cherishing adventures in Switzerland, Germany, and Hawaii. Their shared humor and devotion created a rich legacy that their family will treasure for years to come.

After Mal’s passing, Beverly moved to Jacksonville, Florida, to be closer to her son Kirk and his family. Her presence brought warmth, wit, and beauty to all who knew her.

She will be laid to rest on July 18, 2025 — what would have been her 81st birthday — at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX at 9:00am where she will be reunited with Mal.

Beverly is survived by her three sons:

Douglas Giles Lingle (wife Crystal) of Henderson, TX;

Kirk Alexander Lingle (wife Mashell) of Jacksonville, FL; and

Fredric (Matt) Matthew Lingle (wife Karen) of Longview, TX.

She was a proud grandmother to Tasha, Trent, Hallie, Zac, Melissa, Austin, Kailee, and Lexi, and a loving great-grandmother to four beautiful great-grandchildren, and one on the way.

Beverly also leaves behind treasured friendships — some she has now rejoined in eternity, and others who remain here, missing her terribly. Her beauty, both inside and out, and her gracious heart made her unforgettable to all who knew her.

A “Grateful Gathering” will be held in Jacksonville, Florida at a later date to honor Beverly’s life and the friends and loved ones who supported her so faithfully.
